Sports Illustrated cited The Audacity of Hoop as one of the year's best sports books in the magazine's annual Year in Sports Media issue. SI's Sarah Kwak named Audacity along with such titles as Scott Ellsworth's The Secret Game and John Schulian's A Better Goodbye.
